Coffee grounds have been used as a treatment, but few controlled tests have been conducted to verify its effectiveness. This review briefly discusses the threat the insect poses to cycads, the potential of coffee as an insecticide, and a review of tests conducted on coffee treatment of A. yasumatsui.
