Author: Christopher Hardy

Christopher Hardy holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Botany from the L.H. Bailey Hortorium, Cornell University, and the New York Botanical Garden, and worked as a botanist at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, before becoming Professor of Botany and Curator of the Herbarium at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hardy regularly teaches courses in botany, evolution, and introductory biology. He has authored of over 30 book chapters and scientific articles in international journals. Dr. Hardy is active in the discovery and documentation of biodiversity and species new to science, forensic botany, scientific illustration, science education, the use of plants by people, and he has traveled in southern Africa, Central America, the West Indies, South America, Europe and North America in support of his research.
